Edible Education Culinary Camps are designed to:
Children learn best by doing. We believe that if children get to cut it and cook it, they will eat it. Our chefs will show your children the joy and satisfaction of preparing local, seasonally available food.
Camps are structured into weekly themes. Each day children will prepare two to three recipes based on the theme.
We offer two sessions per day, 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm with a different weekly theme for each session. Some of our most popular themes are repeated throughout the summer. We allow for flexibility of enrollment. Register for one or two days per week or for the full week.

It’s Spring Break—or as we like to call it, Spring Bake! At Edible Education, we’re returning to baking basics with a delicious twist. From April 6th – 10th 2026, young chefs will explore one category of baked goods each day, learning foundational techniques while balancing both sweet and savory flavors.

Muffins and Morning Pastry Pockets
We kick things off with cozy, morning favorites. Students will bake carrot cake–inspired muffins, full of warm spices, and create Pastry Pockets, stuffing flaky puff pastry with their favorite breakfast fillings—sweet or savory and far better than any hot pocket! This day focuses on quick breads, pastry handling, creativity, and kitchen confidence.
Tuesday – Shortbreads and Shortcakes
Day two of Spring Bake is all about buttery, crumbly classics—both sweet and savory! Young bakers will learn the fundamentals of working with short doughs as they create Strawberry Shortcakes with freshly whipped cream and bake handmade cheddar crackers, paired with flavorful dips.
The Ultimate Grilled Cheese
Day three is all about yeast, creativity, and choice! Young chefs will take grilled cheese to the next level by baking their own Honey Whole Wheat bread from scratch. then learning the building blocks of a great sandwich. While the bread bakes, students will explore sandwich basics—balance, texture, and flavor.
To finish on a sweet note, students will craft their own parfaits, layering options like chocolate mousse, puddings, or Greek yogurt with mix-ins of their choice. This day emphasizes independence, confidence, and creative expression in the kitchen.
Cookies & Quesadillas
Day four brings together the perfect pair—crisp, chewy, and just-right cookies alongside savory, melty quesadillas. Our Master Mix Cookies are just sweet, chewy and nutrient-dense. On the savory side, students will prepare veggie quesadillas, practicing knife skills, sautéing vegetables, and building balanced fillings. This day focuses on contrast and choice, showing how sweet treats and savory favorites can shine together in one delicious cooking experience.
Friday is cake day!
We’re wrapping up Spring Bake with one of our most-loved traditions! On the final day, young bakers will create Edible Education’s Annual Spring Cake, learning cake assembly, frosting techniques, and festive decorating skills. While the cakes bake, students will prepare frittatas to explore the savory side of baking. This hands-on activity introduces egg-based techniques. Students will practice piping, texture, and presentation as they bring their cakes to life, celebrating creativity, patience, and the joy of baking for others. It’s the perfect balance of skill-building and celebration to end Spring Bake on a high note.

Under the guidance of Edible Education chefs, campers will master the fundamentals—starting with the ultimate kitchen essential: eggs. Each day, students will build on their skills by preparing increasingly challenging dishes, exploring the essentials of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert. By the end of the week, campers will leave with confidence, new techniques, and a delicious array of creations to share!

Open A Bakery 1
Get ready to rise, bake, and create! This summer, Edible Education is opening its very own bakery—and your young chef gets to help run it. Throughout the week, campers will explore the world of baking from start to finish, learning how to make delicious treats and discovering the basics of running a bakery. Campers will practice mixing, shaping, decorating, and perfecting bakery favorites. This camp blends culinary creativity with entrepreneurial adventure—perfect for kids who love to bake, dream big, and aren’t afraid to get a little flour on their hands!

Loving My Lunch
Lunchtime just got exciting! In this hands-on camp, young chefs dive into a world of fresh, fun, and flavorful lunch ideas designed to spark creativity and independence. Throughout the week, campers will explore delicious styles—think hearty wraps, build-your-own bowls, colorful bento boxes, and balanced bites that are as beautiful as they are tasty. Along the way, they’ll learn essential kitchen skills, practice smart food choices, and discover how easy it can be to prepare meals they’re proud of. By the end of camp, each chef will leave with the confidence and know-how to create lunches that make every school day brighter.

Open A Bakery 11
Take your baking skills to the next level! Open a Bakery II is designed for intermediate bakers ready to explore new techniques, terms, and technologies. Campers will learn the full process—from mixing and baking to understanding the basics of running their own business. The week culminates in a special “bakery opening,” where campers showcase their creations and invite their families to enjoy the sweet results of their hard work. It’s hands-on, fun, and full of delicious learning!

Open A Restaurant:
The name says it all—Edible Education is opening a restaurant! This camp is perfect for serious young chefs ready to take their skills to the next level. Campers will learn essential techniques including cook times and temperatures, sauces and sides, and proper dinner service. Throughout the week, chefs will design and prepare a three-course meal, culminating in a special family dinner where they get to showcase their culinary creations and newfound expertise.

Cupcakes, Cupcakes, Cupcakes!
Get ready for a week overflowing with sweetness, creativity, and cupcake magic! This class blends fun, artistry, and a little bit of wackiness as young bakers design and decorate stunning (and sometimes silly!) cupcake creations. Campers will practice and refine their piping skills, learn new decorating techniques, and explore sugar artistry in a hands-on, imaginative environment. As always, our cupcakes are crafted with care—no artificial colors, preservatives, nuts, or nasties. A deliciously creative fine arts experience for budding bakers and aspiring artists alike!
Kitchen Chemist:
Where Curious Chefs Become Kitchen Scientists! Young chefs become true culinary scientists as they explore how and why recipes work. Through fun experiments and delicious creations, campers will uncover the science behind everyday kitchen magic—from leavening and fermenting to emulsification and changes in matter. Using the Edible Education scientific approach, campers will: Explain real scientific phenomena happening in their food. Build a strong culinary foundation to confidently follow recipes while experimenting and learning. Apply science knowledge and theory to create more advanced recipes over time. With each activity, students turn curiosity into confidence and science into something delicious!

Sweetheart Baking:
A delightful introduction to the world of baking! Sweetheart Baking Camp is perfect for young beginners ready to explore the bakery basics. Little chefs will work together to create treats, build confidence, teamwork, and a love for the kitchen along the way. We will explore skills such as measuring accurately, stirring, temperatures, resting, and combining ingredients. Students will enjoy making treats such as cookies, brownies, cupcakes and more!

Take your baking skills to the next level with Open a Bakery III! Designed for advanced bakers, this camp explores creating intricate baked goods and puts a creative twist on classic favorites. In the final two days, campers will learn to bake and professionally decorate their own tiered cakes, using either classic buttercream or fondant. The week culminates with a special showcase where students present their masterpieces to family and friends.

Food Around the World:
Embark on a delicious culinary adventure! Young chefs will explore flavors, techniques, and dishes from different cultures, all from the comfort of our kitchen. Each day brings a new country and a hands-on experience that’s fun, educational, and tasty. By the end of the week, campers will leave with a passport full of recipes—and memories to last a lifetime!
